Southampton still in for him, think this will be a decision based on whether he wants to move up north or back home.

The club are confident they have a good chance of bringing back Theo Walcott from Arsenal this month, despite Everton’s interest. Southampton hope there will be some resolution on Walcott’s future next week with equally competitive wage packages making it more of a lifestyle choice for the 28-year-old and his family.

Cannot actually believe this another shocking signing . Not good enough for the 6th best side , 28 years of age and weak minded. Basically the absolute opposite of the type of player we should be looking to buy, another truly abysmal signing if this happens and more worrying is that some of our fans expectations are so low they actually think this is decent business gutted !

He litterly knows nothing. There is no way you could mix the both up. Pack it in lad

No surprise that we were linked with somaoro by sky the other day as well. Boy literally knows sweet fa. Said we were definitely getting silva as manager plus allerdyce was never coming here and yet here we are.

Why some random brummie would have insider info at everton? Also the fact he has a youtube channel where you can see his face and name. Would be fairly easy to find out who has links to him at the club and whos giving him information.

Why anyone believes this lad is beyond me. It's obvious to me he just picks up info off the media and trys to get in there before it becomes mainstream to show a facade of being ITK in order to get youtube views.

We've admitted being in negotiations on 12th January which suggests its touch and go we'll get it over the line before deadline day.

Rough time scale will involve talks with arsenal being on the brink of collapse in about a week, a scramble to get a deal agreed as West Ham have entered the bidding in 10 days, a week of silence, whisperings of a problem with the medical before we sneak his paperwork through minutes before the deadline.

So weak minded that he somehow managed to find the net 18 times last season!

Bonkers

Why are people moaning about this? I would be very happy with him signing. Who else could we actually get with the current position we are in?

You can spin it whichever way you want.

Arsenal are 6th at the moment, but they're typically a consistent Champions League side and Walcott has played almost 400 games for them (scoring over 100 goals), so he's clearly a seasoned pro at that level.

We're not at that level yet (we're nowhere near), and until we are, we need players who can push us towards that level. We can't expect to sign first-team players for CL clubs, because why would they come to us?

Walcott isn't a marquee signing, but he's got it in him to do a job for us and he'll give us some attributes we're massively lacking in - pace, width and a few more goals.

He can't get in a rank average 6th placed side , how can that be the type of player who can improve us long term a terrible shortsighted signing. We should be scouring europe for the next potential top 4 players with the type of money were throwing around and instead were signing keane, schneiderlin, bolaise and now walcott for big money and wages. We are Newcastle under Graeme Souness I'm embarrased

Exactly this, im very happy with this deal if it goes through. Still need a grock CB, pacey LB and powerhouse box to box midfielder.
