Brands wont keep him past next summer...declining in value + we can still get our money back on him.

Cant see him in the team 2nd half of the season.
So he doesn't play second half of the season yet we get our money back ? Sure.

I’ll vault you early. Barring injury, he’ll start plenty of games after December. Not a good performance yesterday but he gets a bye due to lack of fitness. Quality player who massively improved us last season. I’m very excited by the attacking options we have now, this fella included. Richarlison, Walcott, hopefully bernard. Siggy needs to up his game. Maybe a few cameos from want away boy wonder.

My opinion is that Down syndrome is not an appropriate phrase in the context that you used it. I phrased my “criticism” mildly in the hope that you would consider your post and realise that it was at best insensitive. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt . I fear that was misplaced.

that wasn’t my intention. Merely tongue in cheek but I can understand your point. Apologies to anyone that feels offended.

He’s easily one of our best players even after the quality signings. Yesterday he was free to be put in one on one three times, the first Richarlison fluffed his pass, the second Tosun shot instead of passing and the third Richarlison got caught by the defender. If he’d have been played in like he should have been and slotted two out of three would anyone be saying he’d had a bad game???

He’s not as sharp as he was last season yet because he’s had a knock but he’s very hardworking, has a cracking attitude (see tweet welcoming all the new signing) and is still one of our best footballers.

He’ll get double figures this season. Crazy how much our players are being criticised on here after one of our best performances in the last 18 months.

It was our first game under Silva, we’re going to improve. We’ve got another 4 new players to bring in, just enjoy it and show a bit more patience!

I suspect that he'll start plenty of games before December as well. Yesterday wasn't his best, but some of the fickleness from our fans is genuinely laughable.

His lack of pre-season games was evident as he lacked match-fitness and sharpness; with regards to last season, under Sam many of our players were awful.

When he first arrived, you could see the talent that he had through his movement, passing and overall play - his Arsenal training shone in our dross movement.

Now we've got more options he will have to up his game to get game time, so hopefully he will be a fantastic attacking option for us either starting or on the bench.

The calls for him to be sold etc. are ridiculous, as we need strength in depth and I doubt we'd get someone of his ability and experience for anywhere near £20m.

He’s missed a bit of preseason which is the likely reason he wasn’t as sharp as he can be. Wasn’t the best yesterday but he’ll have a good season for us.

I’ve no concerns about him individually. My main worry is that I don’t see much of a connection between him and Coleman. They don’t link very well and I’m never confident we’ll keep the ball or work an opening on that side unless we’re on a counter attack. Needs work in my opinion.

Felt his performance on the whole was decent. Got stuck in defensively and helped out Coleman.

Tosun slips him in, he scores - the fact he was getting so close to Tosun despite having 10 men was a testament to his hunger to get involved in both attack and defence.

We will cause problems for teams this year and he will contribute with his running.

Infected with Everton Down syndrome.
He will get better, will become a key part of our attack once Bernard or Lookman plays in the number 10 role. Spaces will open up for him once our opponent realise they can’t double team on Richarlison Bernard/Lookman and Walcott every single time.

As easy a perma ban as they come, surely?
