I honestly don't think he is that great or effective. Loses the ball WAY to often IMO. Whether its from a bad touch, losing the dribble, playing a ball to absolutely no one or something else. Would like to see Bernard there soon.

I think he's a really good player overall, but should never be your go-to for consistent quality i.e. surrounded by quality players that can pick up the slack in his poorer games, he can add something extra and be really useful. I think with Bernard and hopefully a striker in Jan, we're getting there.

I'd much prefer to see Bernard given a starting position on the right instead of Theo, however Walcott played an important part in Cenk's goal when he came on which sealed the win.

Apart from that, as has already been said on here, his decision making is rubbish, he gives away possession far too much and when he does get a chance of a shot he puts in a 'powder puff' effort straight back to the opposition goal keeper. we will never be any good until we get rid of him

..it was a brilliant cross. He didn’t get lucky, he stood it up at the far post from the bye line which is a perfect invitation for forwards to attack the ball whilst keepers are covering their near post. It doesn’t get any better than that.
