2019/20 Theo Walcott

Look. Walcott has some tangible qualities i.e. pace, experience, the ability to run through defences and scatter them. If he gets binned off, do you expect Everton to purchase a load of brand new players all of high quality?
Klopp got the likes of Origi, Wijnaldum, Henderson etc. to play well. Even Mane, Salah and Firmino came from clubs lower down. They were all wasteful, inconsistent and could disappear entirely. Yet look where they are now.
Walcott should be given time under a top manager like Carlo to be the complete player. He reminds me of Raheem Sterling under Rodgers. Pep got to work on him and he blossomed.

He's nearly thirty one years old, played under Wenger for over ten years! Never has and never will be "the complete player", sorry but he just sees Everton as his monthly pay cheque!

It's the whole scenario of signing a bang average player who had potential when he was 17 and thinking that he would somehow resurrect that form. He was a busted flush at Arsenal and is a busted flush here.

20m for Walcott

30m for Iwobi from Arsenal reserves, yeah!

27m for Tosun!

20m for Schneiderlin!

30m for Keane!

25m for Bolasie!

10m for Sandro!

(onto actual decent signings 20m for Gomes, (30m for Gbamin - maybe he'll be ok), 25m for Mina, 30m for Pickford!

Just about a smooth 270m spent there.

With all that money we should be established as a top four side.

(Except we also sold players in that time)

Its hard to improve if you sell your best (or even just your good) players, because the chances of a new signing becoming one of your best players are actually pretty low. That's true at all clubs, not just everton.

Imagine any club in the established top 6 even considering buying one of those first 7 players I mentioned - and we went and bought them ALL! lol We didn't even have any competition for them because everybody else, rightly, realised they are utter turd, so we "swooped in" and signed them.

He was symbolic of a shambolic performance. When he could actually be arsed to run in behind, the young Liverpool defenders he was up against didn't know how to track him. He was getting in behind their centre backs and around the side of their debutant left back. He was decent in the first half, but what happened to him (and by extension the rest of the team) after the break is just mystifying.

I was concerned how much hunger he'd have left when he joined, and it appears to be even less than I thought it would be. He needs to go ASAP, and he's not the only one.

I don't disagree with you about the quality of the players, but the idea that the money we've spent over the last 3 years should have bought us top 4 is total tosh.

Don't forget the 25m on Klassen

1. A new manager wastes money on transfers: don't let him.
6. Older players are overvalued.
10. Sell any player when another club offes more than he is worth.

Soccereconomics Secrets of the transfer market

Wenger- Walcott- Fat Sam.

He's awful and ineffective, that derby proved that.

Also, he's still got pace, but I'm under the strong belief he won't exert himself due to him being scared of injuring himself.

Walcott can be seen as a squad player, he should not start every game but certainly has a part to play.
Walcott is on a salary that other clubs won't want to match and is heading into the autumn years of his career.
Unless a southern club were to make a reasonable offer and unless the player wanted to move south so badly that he would be prepared to earn less money then I can't see him leave.

I don't even think he would be one of the players that CA really wants to leave.
I would guess that Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson, Niasse and Tosun would all be ahead of Walcott.
