Hes literally still 1 of the best CBs in world football.
I would probably sign him at 40.

Don't think i want him. A player well past his peak, on huge wages.
Gazza
Ginola
Etoo all played for us. All legends and all past it. Similar type signing this for me. Sooner we got a promising young player for quarter the wages. Gabriel or whoever
He wasn't exactly ripping up trees now was he?Eto'o was fine for us talent wise. It wasn't his ability that was an issue it was an obvious clash with the management.

The touch was still there but the legs and by snd large the goals were gone.He was still very much a class act.
Maldini was still going at 41, Zlatan is 38, Baresi was 37.The touch was still there but the legs and by snd large the goals were gone.
Silva however is a cb. See gough, weir, stubbs, jags etc. A wily old cb can still do it up to 37. The ultimate was mcgrath for me. Knees were shot. Drank like a fish. Still read the game like a Grisham novel and regularly best player on the park in his villa days.
But how would they fare against the Bournemouth’s, Burnley’s and Southampton’s of the world?Maldini was still going at 41, Zlatan is 38, Baresi was 37.
Cristiano Ronaldo is 35. I'd take him over DCL.Maldini was still going at 41, Zlatan is 38, Baresi was 37.

I think the loan that Spurs recently got of 175m would indicate there will not be lavish spending there this summer....without selling first.the staff furlough was classic tight wad Levy. Of course they had to u-turn. Nonetheless if he had to choose between them and us for his last hurrah!, I think he's choosing them. He's not exactly a lifelong blue...
Maybe when he signs we can get the Bramley Moore pub to be his match day sponsor....Hes literally still 1 of the best CBs in world football.

Sorry. Think it was an error on my part and/or my not very good phone! Not sure why you have quoted me in this? But yeah I loved Gough and he was one of our best players for a season which is why I am not against getting older players as and when needed.
Another season with Keane or Mina giving me heart problems or Thiago Silva paired with the athleticism of Holgate.
I'll take the latter.
I imagine it'll be Mina we ship out but would much prefer to be rid of Keane.
Mina is going nowhere.
