The touch was still there but the legs and by snd large the goals were gone.
Silva however is a cb. See gough, weir, stubbs, jags etc. A wily old cb can still do it up to 37. The ultimate was mcgrath for me. Knees were shot. Drank like a fish. Still read the game like a Grisham novel and regularly best player on the park in his villa days.

Not sure why you have quoted me in this? But yeah I loved Gough and he was one of our best players for a season which is why I am not against getting older players as and when needed.
