Threat of villa

Oh no doubt at some point they will, but he likes control and he has pretty much the run of the ship at Villa by all accounts.
He's actually a throw-back to an old style manager where they have complete control. He, Monchi and Vidigamy (sp?) totally run the player recruitment side of things and are backed by the owners (who are rich and ambitious). He has put his own coaching staff in all key areas with only McPhee still here from past managers. He also has some of his staff overseeing various academies and they all have to play in the same manner as the first team (style, tactics etc). We also have tie ins with many clubs across the world but importantly in Spain its with Real Union. They are his family club (dad and grandfather played there and brother is the President). We send youth players there and their away kit is - I'm sure you agree - is a lovely claret & blue. So, we have his heart strings as well as giving him total control around the club.

Those from outside looking in aren't necessarily aware of the deep ties that have been cultivated and how invested Emery is in with Villa at the moment. I'm pretty sure he also owns some shares. He won't easily walk away as he's got what he wants and all he has to do is keep doing what he's doing now whilst trying to take us further and further up the food chain. The odd trophy here and there wouldn't hurt. But its great times for us Villa fans.

Villa tickets for home Champions League games, £70 to season ticket holders, £90 for non season ticket holders, people must have money to waste !
Three quarters of the teams in it aren't even Champions, surely Trade Description Act comes into play here

Not sure it’s healthy once Emery leaves. He seems to have a wenger, Ferguson control control. Which clearly successful now.
The background of the club was invested in by the owners.
A lot of the long suffering fans are moaning though. Waves of casual fans coming in, tickets hard to get, prices shooting up. A lot of midland based fans come in from shires for the first time since Martin o’neil.

Want to sign £25m players that can only get on the bench and compete Europe… the money needs to be reclaimed from somewhere.
our new stadium and any increase in the transfer budget will eventually hit the match going fans.

Hate Birmingham though apparently…

Edit: probably

Would you pay £70/£90 to watch a football match, I wouldn't, it seems dodgy firesticks are the answer !!

A lot of the second part of that is nonsense I'm afraid. There aren't waves of casual fans coming in at all. Villa have roughly 30 000 season ticket holders. After that there are claret & blue members (at a cost of around £40) that get first refusal of the 7000-8000 0r so tickets that are left. Those tickets are then sold before it goes onto general sale. So, the chance of casuals getting a ticket are very remote unless they get the more expensive General Admission + tickets which are around 500 or so.

holte enders season tix holders moaning about having their seats moved, prices going up. It’s not all a bed of roses as a paying fan, but football success needs paying for and it’s the price of success.
Becoming a member for £40 doesn’t stop you being a casual fan.
