What, and this has only come to light on the morning of the protest, with absolutely no evidence or mention of this on any social platform, between the incident over 10 days ago, and now?

OK!
Am not buying this for one minute. There is CCTV all over the ground and it's surroundings. Plus the 'security' that apparently were on hand would have been wearing body cams.

Hogwash.

How embarrassing.

But fair play, it's incredibly smart spin from the club. What are these 'credible threats' they mention? If they're credible, share them with the police. (I suspect they're fabricated or extremely tenuous.)

Either way, in the eyes of the watching world, the fans are the bad guys. Poor Bill! Poor Denise!

If the board where as skilled at running a football club as protecting their own positions we'd be CL regulars.

Board have been told not to attend although they wanted to.
I doubt that they were all that keen!
They can blame it all on the fan's now of course. Clever spin.

I don't doubt that places like Twitter have some idiots who go too far, but that statement is terrible framing by the club, basically turning on the fans (with it very clearly being worded to get as much media attention to it as possible).

Embarrassing, whatever the truth is. But certainly can’t get more exposure about fan discontent than that.

Everyone immediately saying it’s a made up smokescreen, but the chances of a few nutjobs sending threatening emails/letters to the club is incredibly high, be honest, we know it is. The sort of empty “if you ever show your face at Goodison again” type email. People are that angry.

Conflicted over it all tbh. It’s another reason for an up and coming speedy winger to say “err no thanks, I’ve always fancied living in Leeds”.

Carnage if we lose. Frank left to soak it up alone. Makes me want to back him.

It can be a clever 'retreat' from the board because it turns it back on the fans.

And I had Talkshte on half an hour ago they were almost complimenting Moshiri for his appearance on their show.

What more do we want?! We've had good times.

There's a gallic term for them. Merde-maisons. And like everything they do, the decision will backfire on them spectacularly. In fact reading this discussion thread, it already is.
