You're wrong. A manger decideds how a team defends set pieces not a goalkeeper. Howards always had a player on the post why would he suddenly decided he doesn't need one now after 8-9 years. It's the manager and coaches decision, like if they choose whether we mark man for man or zonal.

Yes its up to the coaches to assign whether its zonal or man marking, but in the moment its up to the keeper to assign a player if he feels needed.

If hes going to position himself so close to his near post, the logical thing to do is stick someone on the back post.

Its not all his fault, Rom just stood there in his own little world and the challenges to giroud in the area was weak

same. we should have had a player on the post, but i believe every team should have men on both posts every single corner. doubt that's entirely the keeper's decision though.
he made a good save what did you make of that ijjy? i constantly go on about how he's always too far off his line and dives too early for my liking, as shown by the second goal which happens a lot imo.

anyway, yeah, he made a great save, but if he wasn't standing so far off his line it would have been a comfortable catch. you agree?
