Looked off it tonight but still has something about him. I wouldn't judge anyone from tonights game as they all looked off itLooks raw. If we hadn't signed him Villa would probably have sent him for another season on loan in the championship which would have done him good.
I thought he was slightly better than his last few sub appearances when he was awful. Doesn't seem to have much about him, which is unsurprising when he was a swap for Lewis Dobbin.
Great analysis. Appreciate you gathering all that data. Well thought out and balanced. It's worth noting with Tim, that he's 21 and coming off an injury.
I had a look at his numbers and they are quite striking. He is not only in the top1% of midfielders for things like tackles and ball recoveries (in fact he is better than the the person generally the best-Ugarte) but he is also exceptional at ball carrying, like top 5% of the league or whatever.
The flip of this is he is woeful at passing He make's bottom 1% of passes, and his short and medium passing percentage is like bottom 20%.
Now don't get me wrong, some of this is down to him mainly coming on in games, under Dyche where we are defending a lead, so you'd imagine the numbers revert a little bit. However he is basically very good at dribbling, excellent at winning the ball back and bad at passing.
He still has room to improve at 21 and I still think he can be a useful player for us, but some good coaching would help him. I would still play him a bit further forward.

They looked lost with the change. Charly isn't a winger and out of him, Garner and Gueye they had no idea where they should be.Thought he was crap when he came on but I wasn't sure what formation Moyes was playing by thay point. No one on the left, Garner doing nothing and Tim sort of nowhere in particular.
