My thoughts exactly.
I'm a miner's daughter and proud of my working class roots.
Er, what good did she do for Britain? Anyway, damage done, we have to move on but I will NEVER forgive her or her cronies.
She promoted working-class mobility. Unfortunately that was only in the south east of England. The north was left to rot.
I remember towards the end of her "reign" when the ever more regal Margaret started to slip into insanity. The incident with BA when she disapproved of the tail designs of BA jets sticks in my mind. The auld hag went over and covered the tails' of model jets to show her displeasure. She had a huge scowl when she did it. The gutless, suck-ass BA executives just laughed as though it was a big joke. Now at least that was worth a laugh. She did have the power to provoke a smile. The day she left Downing St. and was crying was especially funny.
Harsh? I don't think so.
