The fact the PL had this request, for a special "independent" (what that would mean in this context, and how the PL are not."independent" in this instance would intrigue me) commission to look at this has been in 7-10 days with both response says to me they have little interest.

I think one/both of Burnley/Leeds have panicked and leaked it, and mentioned a bit about suing. They will be trying to exert pressure.

I slate the club a lot, but it's a firm rebuttal from them. They are either on a massive bluff with that, or more likely they have been told they are in the clear (which computed with all other available evidence).

I found the part about the commission weird, there is nothing in the rules about it and I’m not sure you can just make up a judicial system retrospectively because that’s what you want - seems very poorly thought out to me.

I actually think both have been set up here, I think other clubs have egged them on and been machiavellian here. Personally I think it’s one of those that’s leaked it.

As for suing I’m not sure what they could they sue is for? making a loss? That’s not illegal, the grievance is the application of the rule, that’s not our issue - to the best of our knowledge we’ve complied with the PL and all they’ve asked, they can’t and won’t change the goal posts now or we’d have our own grievance and essentially the PL wouldn’t be credible.
