Times article, Burnley/Leeds threaten to sue Everton

The Leeds fan I coach kids football with is a fairly normal chap. He 100% thinks we are getting points deducted, purely based on mainstream news.

It’s total madness obviously, I agree, but the majority of Leeds and Burnley fans haven’t got the benefit of all the forensic accounting and legal experts on here to tell them it’s tripe.

Just being charitable, it would be nice for one of them to process their own downfall tomorrow night rather than clinging to this RS inspired media barrage of Everton bashing all through summer.

Would imagine it affects Leeds fans more. There are only 6 Burnley fans watching tomorrows games and they have never heard of P&S.

Tell him some random fella on GrandOldTeam.com says he’s a deluded mess and p.s enjoy the Chanpionship x

Nowhere on the mainstream news has it been even hinted that we might get a retrospective points deduction. He’s got that idea from Twitter.

There are also payment dates to meet for outgoing shareholders mate as well mate, while interest rates on the loan are in and around 10%, they’ve already burned through 40 odd million in cash reserves.

This right here is why I want nothing to do with any American buyers for the club. Any buyer is going to want ROI. That's it.

The sanctions in W, refer to power and processes of a PL commission, if it went to a commission and i dont think it would given E15.1 the sanctions as i say above are unlimited:

The chairman of the Commission shall have an overriding discretion as to the manner in which a hearing is conducted but, subject thereto:

W.40.1. where the complaint has been admitted, he/she shall invite the Board or its representative to outline the facts of the complaint and shall give the Respondent the opportunity to provide further details of any mitigating factors contained in the answer;

W.49.4.2. deduct points scored or to be scored in League Matches or such other matches as are referred to in Rule W.49.4.1;

W.49.4.3. recommend that the Board orders that a League Match or such other match as is referred to in Rule W.49.4.1 be replayed;

W.49.4.4. recommend that the League expels the Respondent from membership in accordance with the provisions of Rule B.6;

W.49.5. order the Respondent to pay compensation unlimited in amount to any Person or to any Club (or club);

W.49.6. cancel or refuse the registration of a Player registered or attempted to be registered in contravention of these Rules;

W.49.7. impose upon the Respondent any combination of the foregoing or such other penalty as it shall think fit;

W.49.8. order the Respondent to pay such sum by way of costs as it shall think fit which may include the fees and expenses of members of the Commission; and

W.49.9. make such other order as it thinks fit

W also grants the right to appoint the commission, which the PL would have to agree to.

You've missed the Arbitration bit, which is a club against the PL. That's section X.

Want to post those obligatory rules to hold the commission mate? I have a different reading of it being subject to the jurisdiction of the PL disciplinary panel.

It’s just desperation mate. I think he has just come up with the idea himself after seeing the headlines.

He’s a mess. Might invite him to the relegation thread. His soul-mate is in there.

Better luck next year mate in the Championship.

I listened to Ziegler on Talksport last night. It's petty brief, but he reckons this will move slowly and not at Burnley and Leeds hoped for pace. He also says he thinks it's a problem for the PL and potentially one for Everton, that he cant see Everton being relegated with a points deduction, but he does think things might happen further down the line...presumably a fine or even a points deduction for next season.

A point deduction only punishes the fans and it's not our fault. Or is the only for the scab 6?

Even a footballing know nothing Billionaire Accountant can get one financial thing right - well in Mosh.
Sniff it wools ( both red rose and white)

Edit; Or has he?

This is just so unbelievably laughable. Its just a complete none starter. Even supposing that there was a case for us to answer (unfortunately for the two cryarses there isn't!?) it would never get off the ground anyway because the second that Sunday is over and one of Leeds or Burnley become confirmed safe they will 100% lose interest and forget the whole thing. They will have zero interest in pursuing a long, drawn-out and expensive legal battle that they're 100% guaranteed to lose anyway! No, I'm happy to say that this nonsense is quite simply PR work from these clubs for the benefit of their fans and nothing more. Their impotent rage and blind flailing and screeching is an utter joy to behold!

The funny thing is most Leeds and Burnley fans dont seem that arsed judging from what I've seen online.

Weirdly its mainly Newcastle fans trying to create a false rilvary with us. Seen two articles pop up by them since yesterday about it.

@catcherintherye you noticed the sudden weird obsession from the fat Geordie whoppers on twitter mate?
