Times article, Burnley/Leeds threaten to sue Everton

They must think they have something?

It a standard request in legal proceedings ( even though this one won't imo) - you're legally obliged not meant destroy materials injurious to you ( as ordinarily they legally need to be voluntarily shared in the course of any claim), it's common for a claimant to ask the other side not to delete any incriminating docs. Also if a commission/arbitration were set up there would be an investigation into these materials.

Interestingly in the Man City one what it actually went to court for was Man City not cooperating with the arbitrator by not giving over info on their accounts. I wonder if we'd cooperate with a commission or arbitration or string it out. In Man City a court ordered them to comply.

This really pees me off. Both are s/scared of going down so they are practising SOS, (save our skins). They are chasing after Everton and what a result before June 16th which is when fixtures are sorted. They are hoping then the FA will hit Everton with a points deduction and we get relegated while they stay up.

What they cannot realise is quite simply they did not earn enough points but hey what does that matter, we are in for dirty tricks. The other fact is Burnley are now owned by an American group who have put out no money into the club and what has happened to money received from January transfers. I believe it is similar with Leeds.

There is no danger of us being relegated. None at all. This is all about money for the owners of the club that goes down. The Premier League has invited this hassle on itself by allowing all manner of human rights abusers and extremist capitalists to buy its clubs. When you feast with panthers...and all that.

Has a points deduction ever been applied to a season that’s already finished? Usually it would apply to the following season or the current season if it’s in progress. Not that it would come to that anyway in all likelihood.
