Maybe he'd bring out the best in Heitinga and we could go with him, Heits and Jagielka at the back.

I'd say £2m, £3m at the very max. I think we can get around £4m for Heitinga as a direct sale, and Alderweireld is rated at £6m.

Believe it or not Heitinga is still fairly highly rated on the continent.

johnnys 65k a week will put most off, we need to get rid so i'd be offering a deal like i mentioned.
all the better if we get more for him but i cant see it.

This would be a great deal.

I may be wrong, but hasn't Heitinga said he wants to return to Ajax at some point in the past?

This sounds too good to be true but it could possibly be done!
 
Would be the twelfth Belgian in the current national squad to play in England.

Think this would be a very shrewd move. Great on the ball, very composed, relatively quick and versatile. Makes sense when coupled with Distin's age and Heitinga's inability to defend.

Would prefer a new CM, but won't complain with this signing.

Agree. It will be probably needed to pay Heitinga his 65k for that next season, Ajax definetely won't pay that, they will pay 25k-30k max. The question is if Heitinga will agree to go down with his wage for season 14-15 - we would only need to pay differences between wages for the coming season. We would probably then have Toby for next season for something like 75k, but the season after that only for 40k... I would do that any day of week. :)
