Yep. The ball comes off his arm. As a result he gains an advantage - sets up the goal. VAR correct decision.

And you have Carragher crying like a baby that the rule is wrong. This from someone who disembowelled more attackers in the penalty area and got away with it more than anyone else in history...

Sorry mate I was being sarcy, we've been on the wrong end of a few these calls.
The only goals you can celebrate with any confidence are worldies and even then you can't guarantee it.
I wanted VAR but the league have found a way to make you hate it.
If I didn't know better I'd say they were trying to sabotage it.

Snodgrass should have dribbled that ball away from goal and played for a corner rather than shooting. That's how stupid the rule is.
