As I posted last night, opposition from some ministers. If this doesnt go ahead, with their figures s lot lower than ours and mass testibg available then we cannot possibly go ahead
Pinch of salt as it’s the Heil but they’re reporting that the KNVB are reconsidering their decision to void the Ere and Eerste Divisies because of threats of legal action by clubs
It’s all just money for the rich few. It doesn’t benefit the fans, it doesn’t benefit lower league clubs, doesn’t benefit the players, doesn’t benefit the health service. But it benefits Sky, BT, Liverpool, United, and a host of media hanger ons. Therefore let’s relentlessly push for it despite 90% of the footballing world wanting nothing to do with it.
Also, how rediculous. They’re in close contact doing all the normal stuff that would spread disease, but spitting... that’s the line they’re drawing. At a yellow ffs... why add that in if it makes no sodding differenceFIFA council member calls for yellow cards for spitting
Yellow cards should be handed out to players who spit on the field when football resumes, a FIFA council member has said.www.rte.ie
I dunno, how about just waiting to bring back football until its safe to do so?.
Wow... I would say shocking, but I’m not even shocked anymore.A bit more on La Ligas supposed return too
The New York Times noted that La Liga want “daily tests for coronavirus” for all those involved.
Guillem Balague confirmed that La Liga have already bought up enough testing kits to satisfy that requirement. However, just because La Liga have the kits, that’s not the end of the matter. Instead, some clubs are concerned with the moral and ethical issues of testing players every day while Spanish civilians may be struggling to get the same tests.
Guillem Balague confirmed that Celta Vigo are refusing to take the Covid-19 tests right now as they believe others in society need the tests more urgently.
Aside from testing, there are also bigger safety issues at play regarding La Liga’s possible resumption.
In that regard, Guillem Balague has claimed: Barcelona are considering telling La Liga that they will not play unless there are enough guarantees that it’s safe to do so.
The problem with Barcelona’s stance is that La Liga aim to get every player in the league to sign waiver forms. Balague continued: As part of the protocal players have to sign a consent that they have been informed that there is no risk.
Players aren’t happy to sign this. Who will be responsible if they catch it?
I can understand the frustration but again, this is a club that wasn't mathematically assured promotion so not sure how they can whinge about not being promoted after a null season:

I think I will also just give up. It will be the final straw for me. It will be a spit in the face to have my work prospects vanish as I'm not considered essential, yet football can just continue. If the Premier League restarts before most people have been allowed to return to work then I'm done with the sport.
Recall Sandro! lolHere's the latest brainwave to help things get restarted again:
How does this help or assist the 'integrity of the league' with different rules for the
games to be played as opposed to the games already played?

Clearly this change will be a huge advantage to teams who have
real depth in their respective squads
