We were never getting another striker after signing Kean. No one worthwhile is coming into a team that already has multiple options even if one is DCL. Best we could have done is another Tosun like player which is obviously dumb.

And we can still challenge these teams. We have work to do but Chelsea, United and us all have the same 4 points. West Ham do as well for all the "why didn't we sign Haller?" people.

Goals though. We don't look like scoring ever right now and have the same amount of goals as Watford at the bottom of the table, whereas all those sides have goals in them.

We're looking at 8th at best unless Kean is a monster when he starts games.

Well yes obviously we have to score more. We NEED Kean and Iwobi to be good, Richarlison has to start playing at least somewhat close to his level from last year, we still need more penetration from Bernard and at some point it would be nice if one of our center mids did something in the final third but at least to me we have options available to use to improve that situation. There is a lot of time to set things right.
