Atalanta's best player and striker, Josip Illicic will be missing their Champions League clash with PSG. As he wants to quit football over finding out that his wife cheated on him!!

Women and a pandemic are wrecking this club up.

Hopefully he quickly gets over he's heartbreak, gets custody of he's children and he also realises that he can do better than reincarnated Michael Jackson.

Well, if you're just that threatening on the attack, you're going to win some penalties.

Clearly Rashford, Martial and Fernandes are scary enough that they should be winning more penalties than MSN won most seasons in a notoriously whistle-happy league, while getting fed by Iniesta. (MSN does have that one outlier season where they won 20!)

And there is the rub...
They are not that threatening. They have scored 66 league goals this season that's only the 5th highest.
You also need to include that 15% of their total goals scored has come from penalty kicks. If they would have scored them all then that figure would be 20% of the total - just with penalties...

Let's look at some more numbers:
They have been awarded 21 penalties in 56 games. That equates to a penalty being awarded in their
favour every 2.67 games on average. Which in turn equates to a penalty being awarded to them every 240 minutes of play throughout the whole season.

United have been awarded 13 of the 79 total penalties that have been awarded in this season's Premier League competition. That equates to almost 17% of all of penalties given. That is the highest proportion of any side in a single season in the competition's history. On those figures alone please don't tell me that they are not being given a leg up by the officials? Those numbers are totally unprecedented. And that is for a team that the numbers show are really not that threatening up front. It stinks to high heaven.

Came out as a lie that rumour.

I wonder if these European games will help the premier clubs going into next season for match fitness?

The EFL have successfully appealed against the penalty imposed against Macclesfield and as a result Macclesfield have been relegated.
Way to go you incompetent witless twerps, appealing against one of your own members.
How is relegating them going to help them?
Meanwhile their “fit and proper person” test allows clubs like Hull & Charlton to rot.
Idiots.
