....just got back from a weeks break in Spain. Stayed at a friends villa and bumped into Dean who also has a place on the same complex. He was actually with his wife in a bar last Friday afternoon ahead of him being VAR official for the Saturday lunchtime game (Reds v Newcastle).

To be fair, he only appeared to be drinking coke and said he was leaving to catch a flight in the next few hours. Not a bad old life.
 

This Olympiacos no.10 is the kind of player I'll be naming when someone asks who I'd have bought instead, after Everton have a £92m bid accepted for David Brooks in the summer.
