Anichebe had potential the likes of everyone could see, but playing in a Moyes system made him utterly useless and nothing but a hold up ball merchant at best.

Managers influence players a lot. Pep influenced Sterling a lot.

Edit: If anything though, testament to Sterling's desire to actually work and improve himself.

Goals galore tonight with City and Spurs hitting five in Europe and domestically big wins for Doncaster with seven at Southend and Sunderland smashing Tranmere with five.

Went to Haig Avenue to watch Southport beat Hereford 3-2 -another five goals although shared lol

... into the playoff places for Port, late goal for Hereford made a tense few minutes but good bounce back from going out the cup.
 
Salvio showing for Boca why his career in Europe stalled. Good game this but Boca struggling to find the openings they'll need to close the gap and time is running out.

Whilst its true that managers influence players, the players still have to have the raw materials. £44m Sterling cost City which would suggest that the talent and potential of him was absolutely huge. Yes Pep has harnessed that talent and Sterling has looked the part by playing for, probably, the best team in the world.
The least said about your Anichebe comparison the better!!
