I think he's a good player but 'wonderful' seems a stretch. Like a lot of English players he looks very good when we're on top but when England play a half decent team in the euros next year, thats when you see how good he actually is. Playing for Liverpool is almost a free pass too.

Not as good, but Delph is an example. He was a decent player in a v good team at City, the game was easy for him so he looked better than he is. Now he's playing for us, you see a truer reflection of his ability.
 
And now the Moldovan keeper gifts Varane an equalizer for France. 100% overturned by VAR if Everton score that but it really wasn't a foul and just a goalkeeping blunder. France still look shaky here.

Shaky is a bit harsh. If Giroud had scored those headers from Digne's crosses they would be coasting and turning on the style!! Unconvincing without the goals though I agree.
