The ex Stoke manager Tony someone-or-other, I recall he then went to Palace, crystanbulled Rodgers and also destroyed Blerto’s top 4 ambitions (and, ultimately his PL career).
Haven’t a clue where he is nowadays but I suspect you would not get a big groundswell of support for his being appointed manager...especially not now that the Team Vitor drums are beating...

Up to roughly 10pm last night, they weren't having a worse season than us.

Do you believe we have awful players? Or did we just have a terrible manager?

We do not have awful players.

Do we need an upgrade to our strikers, well of course we do. Niasse, Calvert-Lewin and Tosun are not going to grab 20 goals a season. However when everyone is fit, we have a very strong first eleven. I do believe a decent manager would get the most out of our strongest 11, and even use the squad for a different approach to a game when needed.

Under Silva we literally had no identity and it was baffling at times how we were going into games looking clueless. Very one dimensional with only one way of playing. Proof of this is the fact we were guaranteed to not win a game when going behind at any stage of the game; a shocking statistic.

I think that's too simple an answer and that the problem is far more embedded than just 'remove Silva and we're sound'.

Same with West Ham, if Pellegrini goes, it won't solve the problems they have. Just as Silva leaving hasn't solved ours (again, in my opinion)

He hasn't even been gone a week, so you can't really say it hasn't solved anything.

Didn’t say it hadn’t solved anything. But it hasn’t solved all of our problems.

I think our squad and West Hams are comparable, certainly. With both you could say “yeah, with a good manager, they’d have a good go at the top six”.

phew, genk missed some chance. napoli really should come to themselves, can't not beat them tonight, forzaa

Still can't believe that Klopp tricked everyone into playing schoolyard 'heavy metal' football, and then spent £140m on a goalie and a centre-back, and started putting balls into the channels for his EPO athletes to chase.

Its a sad thing to say, but the best managers and teams make football look simple and that's what RS do.

Well impressed with the midfielders in the diamond for Salzburg. Mwepu, Szoboszlai and Minamino are brilliant players, all athletes as well. Shows even in Austria they know that they cant accommodate slow players in that midfield.

Fair enough.

Yeah i'd agree with that
