They have better players? It isn't hard. Only Richarlison, Digne, Dom and James have a chance of making the Chelsea squad.

Tbh the prem have been slowly starting to dominate Europe for a while, the pandemic break and change in the way it all was completed didn't suit last season but three of the four cl semifinalists and both Europa finalists the season before.

Spurs looking impressive here. Ndombele seems to be in favour now and he's a player who looked brilliant at Lyon.

Mourinho could be onto something here, especially when you look at the extra quality on the bench too.

Lampard picked up a squad that had made the europa league final, league cup final, and finished third, the season after they had won the FA Cup and the title the one before. He then was given close to a quarter of a billion to spend on improving it.

Ancelotti picked up a team worrying about relegation for the second time in three seasons and for given about 60 mill to spend.

Yet we have spent hundreds of millions in the last few seasons and look light years away from anything at all.

Oh that has been terrible agreed. We’ve had window after window of buying midfielders and still somehow only have one decent one. Klaasen Schneiderlin Sigurdsson Gbamin Gomes Delph Bernard . So much money spent, so little return.
