Their transfer strategy was just a mess this Summer. They needed a LB and GK and both signings are good and long-term. They had a good LW in Pulisic but then sign Werner. They don’t play attacking mids but go sign Havertz. Whatever the Hell he’s doing with Tomori is beyond me. Completely undone all the solid work and feel good factor of last season in a few months.

Again, it all sounds very familiar to that season. They just don't have 3 number 10s on the pitch and a better overall standard of player than we did.

He was never on Koeman's level though. All-time great vs. very good-to-excellent.

Koeman did a hell of a lot of damage to the club so sorting through which exact thing was the worst part is kind of hard to do but throwing away Vlasic and Lookman because he wanted to spend a ton on Davy Klaassen and Sigurdsson is objectively bad.

It’s pretty clear he has no idea what his best 11 is now. There’s no continuity or fluidity to their play this season. Still not sure how he’s not been sacked yet. Can’t see Abramovic putting up with looking up the table at West Ham for very long.

Wow. Number 3 was a thing of beauty. Something I’d have expected from Ronaldinho not Ronald Koeman. I hate him slightly less now.
