The last goal - the European Cup Final v. Sampdoria at Wembley in the early 1990s. I was at that game. I was working in London at the time, in digs in Wembley. Wandered to the ground to get a programme, and then go back to my digs to watch the game on TV. Was pestered by a tout just on kick-off time, as he was wanting to unload his tickets. A couple of minutes after the start of the game, I got one at face value! I ended up in the scoreboard end goal, in among the Sampdoria fans. That was the most lunatic 2 hours of watching live football in my life! Those fans were off the scale. When Koeman scored, I have never noticed silence among a section of fans as I noticed then. And for me, it shouldn't have even been a free-kick.

One thing which I believe was never shown or mentioned: After collecting the European Cup, the Barcelona players obviously went to their end of the ground (they had put the normal Barcelona shirts on at the end of the game). One of them, (he had the No. 11 shirt on) ventured towards the Sampdoria end with the Cup, whereupon the whole Sampdoria end started applauding the player. He motioned to the rest of the team to follow him, but none did. A pity, because they would have received a good reception. The Barcelona player then just waved and gave a thumbs-up to the Sampdoria fans.
That must have been amazing. Wasn’t it a super late winner? Did you have a good view of the goal?

Ridiculous isn’t it. Have a fortnight off lads because you didn’t control your players, we’ll move all your prem games, give Liverpool a bye in the cup, but you’re back to full strength for City who played a few days ago.
Their manager saying “we’re 18 days unbeaten” was a bit of a piss take as well.

Yeah doesn't matter to the FA now that Liverpool were allowed to play their u18s and walked through in the FA Cup. As long as they are able to play a full strength team against Man City and the rest of us.

Name one notable contribution Lookman made after that debut against City?

he started 7 games for us in the prem league

he started 1 game for us in the carabao cup

he started 2 games for us in the fa cup

he started 2 games for us in the europa league

overall - 12 starts

as for what notable contributions did he make after his goal against city:-

he scored 2 goals in the Europa League group stages

he bagged an assist against crystal palace after coming on in the 82nd minute

he bagged an assist against bournemouth

he scored in the fa cup 3rd round against lincoln city

in his debut season for us 16/17 he had 287 minutes of playing time in the prem

in 17/18 season he had 152 minutes of playing time in the prem before he got loaned out

in 18/19 season he had 601 minutes of playing time in the prem and got 2 assists

in comparison alex iwobi last season had 868 minutes of playing time in the prem and got 2 assists and 1 goal

we didn't get rid of iwobi and he has come on leaps and bounds this season as a result

Theo walcott last season had 1114 minutes of playing time in the prem and got 2 assists and 2 goals

gylfi sigurdsson last season had 899 minutes of playing time in the prem and got 2 assists and 2 goals

given his age and the limited playing time opportunities he should have been considered as one for the future and should have been given more playing time before we decided to get rid on a permanent basis.

If he was unhappy and wanted to leave then that is a different story and you could probably understand why we would have sold him.
