if we are being realistic we know that liverpool are probably the favourites to win the league and at some point will go on a run of games where they just keep winning

the best best of challenging them for the title is city simply because the other teams are just too inconsistent to put up a realistic challenge

i would therefore prefer city to beat villa today based on the realistic long term target

That must have been amazing. Wasn’t it a super late winner? Did you have a good view of the goal?

Barcelona scored at the tunnel end - I was in the scoreboard end with the Sampdoria fans. Clear view of the free kick from Koeman. Clear view of the 'non-free kick' in the first place as well. It was hilarious sometimes. When Sampdoria was attacking the other end and was given offside, loads of Samdoria fans would start climbing up the wire fencing, shouting obscenities at the officials. The only one I could understand was 'Bastardo!', but I'm sure there were many more. Never mind the fact they were about 90 to 100 yards away from seeing whether it was offside or not!!!

My position was near one of the small entrances to the terraces, and there was a steward there, so I was chatting to him regularly. Hearing my English accent, some Italian fans next to me chatted football with me at half-time and full-time.

Those two hours were an experience I will never forget. Just a pity Sapmdoria didn't win. Had they done so, God knows how bonkers their supporters would have been!

That Traore just won’t track back will he. City will score if they don’t get that right hand side sorted. Look dangerous when they counter though Villa.
