Doesn't matter, Villa player controls it and is in possession of it.Cos the ball went towards him and he was in an offside position before he engaged the ball.
Had the Villa player knocked it backwards and the city player got it and scored he not offside, same thingTackled from behind/offside position though.
Not surprised Villa went ballistic. I just assumed it would be ruled out realtime.
Oh dear...how sad...nevermind lolCos the ball went towards him and he was in an offside position before he engaged the ball.
NahIt's the same phase of play. He's gained an advantage from being in an offside position when the ball comes towards him.
It's nailed on, 100% offside.
McManamanmanmanman, is talking an awful lot of bollocks tonight.
Surely this - he's offside for the first pass. Once Ming's starts buggering about its the next phase of play - nothing to see here.
Yep he was onside when he got the ball so all goodHad the Villa player knocked it backwards and the city player got it and scored he not offside, same thing
No, you can't start bringing the word 'intent' into offsides. Stop that immediately.Nope it's the same phase of play because he's still the intended target of the pass. It's like saying a player can't be offside, even if he's 20 yards offside, if there's a deflection off a defender on the way to him - makes no odds.
He wasn't though.
He's still offside when the tackle is put in.
