Very strange how it's all worked out with him isn't it? I get he wasn't fully fit when he joined but it's been about four months now and he's constantly on the bench and never trusted to start.

Even tonight he's sat there and may not even come on. Jose suggested he's not showing enough in training and I wouldn't be surprised going off the bad attitude he had towards playing in Spain - ie that he would rather be on the golf course than training field.

I guess they didn't have the option to cut their losses on him and send him back, but it will have proven to be an extremely expensive experiment for them for the 300k a week they are contributing towards his wage!

Even the games he's played in he's done nothing special, and certainly none of those old trademark storming runs past defenders. Can be no way at all any decent club takes him when he eventually leaves Madrid, time to retire or take up an option in China.

Oh I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the fact we’ll not be making the next round. But we’ve no reason at all to fear this Spurs team.

Two top class players in Son and Kane, but if you can keep compact at the back and keep them quiet, they’re a distinctly average team.

TBF he didn't have a bad attitude in Spain - he just thought based on his fee and what he'd won for them that he should have been treated better than he was by them, especially by Zidane.

His treatment since he's gone there is bizarre though; you could understand it if they were flying but these are awful.
