Just imagine for a second that any of these things happened to Everton:

We got beaten 9-0 (again)
We were 3-0 down at half time to Arsenal
We lost at home to Sheffield United, threw away a 2 goal lead to draw at home in the 95th minute, and then drew at West Brom
Pickford passed two balls to City players and then the week after flew out and presented one to Vardy on a plate to make it our third loss in a row.

There would be calls from some for Carlo to go and Pickford probably wouldn’t have a career here left. We’ve not taking any batterings at all this season which is amazing considering City Liverpool and United have all been on the end of 5 goal plus maulings.

We’re honestly nowhere near as bad as we make out sometimes.

You have just cursed us

We are definitely as bad as we make out on occasion, it’s just that other, supposedly bigger teams can be bad, too.

Very poor by Leeds who get hyped up all the time by the hacks who are in thrall to Squatter Bielsa.

Arsenal are not strong at all and yet were made to look brilliant by the end.

Harsh. Essentially safe from relegation after 22 games with what is largely a Championship standard squad, solely because of Bielsa and his methods.

They'll get battered occasionally but win enough to get by until they up their squad quality, and in the interim they'll entertain the hell most weeks.

Bielsa has worked miracles there - even turned a profit in terms of player sales in his promotion season - deserves all the plaudits he gets.
