Today’s Football 2020/21 Season

Brighton supporter at work told me on Teams this morning that he’s thrown in the towel for this season and don’t care if they go down. He said “fate has decided our season after that game against the Baggies”.

That’s rather defeatist, but at least he’s preparing himself for disappointment to cushion the blow for when that inevitable relegation does happen.

Hope they're replaced in the Premier League by their Yorkshire rivals Barnsley. That'd be just lovely.
Friday and Saturday nights out in Barnsley are an experience to behold!
They had a German keep named Lars Leese who wrote a cracking autobiography.
He genuinely could not believe what he saw and witnessed on a night out in Barnsley.
Not for the faint hearted is a Barnsley night out. It would be a cracking away day weekend
trip :)

I read a review of that book in WSC, Leese was 27 and had never played a professional game before signing for Barnsley.

Was that the game Eze scored from his own half in? They bought Ramsdale who must have one of the worst win % of any player in the league ever

I've no idea what he is, but the one thing he isn't is a professional goalkeeper.

Never seen a lad seem so unsure of anything. He's basically a mega Pickford with ten times the mistakes in his locker.

That day, if it comes, will be a Bank Holiday in Croydon.

Hope they stay up. Any 2 of WBA, Burnley and Newcastle to accompany Sheff U down to the Championship would be ideal for me.

It is my nearest Prem ground and that’s like a home game for me although in the away end, so that’s one good thing about them staying up.

There is always a team who somehow always pulls the rabbit out of the hat with like four games to spare, I’m getting a sinking feeling the Baggies will do a last season’s Villa.

Just went through West Brom's remaining fixtures, on the assumption that 37 points probably keeps you up. Leaving them needing 20 points to get that tally, they certainly have fixtures that they can target for that. Home to us, Newcastle, Southampton, Wolves and West Ham has to yield double figures in points.

Trips to Palace, Leicester, derby with Villa and final day at Leeds are games they can get something from too.

I had written them off, but yeah, I can see a path for their survival. The goal difference is awful and they might have had all their luck in that fixture against Brighton. They are going to come at us Thursday, because they're running out of road.

No doubt it’s been posted here before but I heard Adama Troare coats his arms in baby oil before a game to keep himself injury free. Apparently stops opponents pulling him around.

No, they can't have him, I prefer to imagine us with KDB in midfield.
I know people will laugh, but I struggle to think of who I would trade him with.

Of course there's Bobby L, Mbappe, Haaland, but we ain't getting them, you look around and there's not many I would trade for him, personally.

No, I'm not saying hes the best in the world, or even top 10, I just think hes great.
