What happened there? I saw some clubs didn't want to "release players" because of the mandatory quarantine but just seeing if there was anything else.Ah I didn't realise that about the South American internationals. Good news for us.

No you've got it right, basically we would have lost Allan, Richarlison, Rodriguez, Mina and, ahem, Bernard to quarantine for the Palace and Brighton games. What happened there? Upcoming qualifiers cancelled.
Thank eff.. Why there are INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES during a global pandemic is just.....evil. 0 effs given about any player or club...The games in March in South America are off. Dont think they had much choice because teams would have lost most of their best players.
Fifa say clubs can refuse to release a player if they have 5 or more days quarantine.

That's an excellent point. For James to get that period off will be great for us. Knackered him, a bit, last year, the internationals.

Those qualifiers have been cancelled, so there's no risk of reusing to release and upsetting the players or letting them travel and losing them for those matches.
Klopp, in another excellent moment of man management had already declared he wouldn't be releasing any of his players (Becker, Fabinho, Firminho and possibly Keita).

Agree with you mate but if clubs can travel for CL and EL games, no difference in international games imo, mainly the same players.Thought the SA ones were friendlies but, regardless, wtf. We are so fn close to being ok. These tits really need to just call it a day with the internationals..
