I just checked, his record is 15 penalties taken in his career, he scored 9 and missed 6.

He's the most extreme example of people seeing the defender they think the guy could be based on his physical gifts and not taking the time to realize he's constantly making mistakes.

Tuchel's way of playing has been regularly exposed by high level attackers iirc. Dortmund vs Monaco when Mbappe was there springs to mind immediately as an example of Tuchel being massively outclassed.

Yes when I said that I think including penalties as a way of evaluating how good a player is not a good idea I was aware at that time that they do get missed sometimes too.

Interesting thing is that he seems to be getting worse with penalties, his record since 2018 is scored 4 missed 4.

Yeah that's not good at all. I wouldn't trust Dembele and I don't think anyone in midfield or defense takes them so I guess Messi was the option.

I was hardly thinking any Chelsea players were still playing what's the point of that stat, ok not last year or the year before but eight years ago.
