Two things I’ve noticed in recent seasons:

1. Sweeping conclusions about a team’s fortunes after 1/2 matches.

2. Sweeping conclusions about a player’s fortunes after 1/2 matches.

The race to offer judgment is relentless and usually misguided. Give it ten games and then see what’s taking shape.

Guess that "sweeping conclusion" about Wolves being bottom half ....may be correct ! LOL

Disagree and Little bit of a strange take for me, if we dont get champions league which could happen, europa league [euro] is always the next target and is mostly the real target of Everton no doubt for now, Euro footy attracts players as well as money if they really want us, and using euro footy even play offs etc now for something 9 months down the line or whatever is a very easy excuse to use

I don’t think players see europa league as a draw

Money? Yes

Champions League? Yes

Europa League on its own? No chance

It’s okay to be honest and say we’re not ready for it

If we get It then we’ll do our best to deal, but it’s not an ideal outcome right now

I’d take a domestic cup over the europa League quite happily

All you’re playing for is in europa is cl qualification anyway

Give me Milk Cup and 4th any day, which we could potentially do without the europa distraction
