Lee on the AFTV watch-along getting excited that Arsenal were back in it for Europa League football, only for West Ham to level up and say “That’s okay, a draw will do”...... Well West Ham are winning making it impossible for the Europa.

Looks like the Conference League is the best they can get and one the AFTV lot wanted to avoid!.

Despite the title and relegation already resolved, as it usually is most seasons these days (how I miss “Survival Sunday”, it was so obvious Villa were going to last season), the race for 4th looks a good one.

As for ourselves, I don’t want Conference League.

I don’t want any of them. The Europa is a low tier contest and Conference even more so. Both are Mickey Mouse and are a hindrance to our squad fitness for League games.

During the Intertoto’s short lived presence, teams were putting out second strings just for that reason (Spurs the most notable; Alan Pardew who hardly got a game, was given a run-out in a 8-0 loss to Köln). I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens with the Conference League.
