Be arsed with Swansea or Bournemouth coming up, hopefully Brentford and Barnsley can turn things round and both get to play off final

Not great for Wolves really. All seems to be imploding there.

It's funny, as Wolves spent about 100m in the summer, but it never gets mentioned as money down the drain like it does with us. That Silva for 40m is a hideous signing.

Their problem will be what Mendes can come up with in terms of a new manager. Because their owners are so closely in bed with him they rely heavily on what he can pull out of his bag.

To be fair to Wolves it doesn’t get mentioned as money pissed up the wall because it’s the first time they’ve really done it - big chunk was from Jota sale too. 40m for Silva will probably turn out to be hideous but then the lad is 18. Far too soon to know for sure.

Overall Nuno has done a fantastic job there. Taken them from years in the Championship to two top seven finishes and a Europa League semi-final. Very good work for a relatively unknown manager.

Idk if it's worthy of it's own thread. Idk how it's being covered over there buy what is this world cup every 2 years ish?

They aren't actually gonna try this because from espn here in the states it looks like it has some support. As always, every bad idea in fifa is supported by 100 corrupt FA's from developing nations.

He’s still only 18 so could come good, but yeah for that money you’re looking for an instant return. Just think it’s a classic case of coming into the league with a template style of play that was difficult for teams to deal with at first, but now that they have he’s got nothing else. See Wilder as another case in point. Will be interesting to see how Bielsa gets on next season once some prem teams start to work out his tactics.

Not sure about Fabio Silva.

He joined them last summer when hed only just turned 18 in July. Dropped into an underperforming team and lost his strike partner and other players left who could have fed him.

Only 19 this July so has a couple of seasons to develop and adapt.

You look at Joao Felix at Atletico who is 2.5 years older and went for 3 times the money...his stats arent exactly lighting up the league.

The issue i see with both players is that theyre both quite slight and arent physically there and also dont have the experience to get the better of players.

Its a tricky one to know if either would succeed in England.
