Not sure about Fabio Silva.

He joined them last summer when hed only just turned 18 in July. Dropped into an underperforming team and lost his strike partner and other players left who could have fed him.

Only 19 this July so has a couple of seasons to develop and adapt.

You look at Joao Felix at Atletico who is 2.5 years older and went for 3 times the money...his stats arent exactly lighting up the league.

The issue i see with both players is that theyre both quite slight and arent physically there and also dont have the experience to get the better of players.

Its a tricky one to know if either would succeed in England.

They got him because they thought he was the next best thing in Portuguese football. Problem was Jimenez (who is by far Wolves most important player) suffered a freak injury putting him out for the season. They then had to rely on a young man who wasn’t ready to be the focal point of a team.

From what I’ve seen of Silva he’s slowly shown some real quality. I think he’ll come good in a few years.

You mention Joao Felix but he was signed to replace Griezmann in a team who are title contenders in their league (and for over £100 million). Silva replaced Jota (for £40 million) in a team who are pushing on from 7th.

I’ve had the opposite reaction to watching the playoff games the past few days. So refreshing to not have VAR standing by to disallow every goal if they think a player might have been one molecule offside.
