Oh. I think we might last the season
Random question, but whatever happened to the “additional” assistant referees that were brought in a few years ago? You know, those two extra muppets stood on the goal line whose job was to seemingly miss literally everything that was happening right in front of their eyes in the 18 yard area?
Just watched some footage of an old England match which had them (where unsurprisingly the fella stood 4 yards away and directly in line with the goal line managed to miss the ball crossing the line and deny Ukraine a goal), and realised they’re not a thing anymore.
Were they sacked off when VAR were brought in? Or before? Can’t remember seeing them for ages.

That was the point I was making. The poster said if Viera joined it would be instant relegation, which would be a bit harsh.
