Today’s Football 2020/21 Season

Strange season when I'm looking at the first match today, West Ham vs Man City, and instead of just thinking how many City will win by I'm thinking I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham got something out of this or even went one better and won.

The hammers nightmare fixtures are soon ending, play the sh*te next week in the last of them but I thought they'd struggle for any points at all - a run of fixtures from hell and never ending. .

Lost away to Arsenal 2-1
Hammered Wolves 4-0
Hammered Leicester away 0-3
Drew at Spurs 3-3

City home today and away to the sh*te next week.

After this nightmare series of fixtures I thought they couldn't be anywhere else but bottom three, if not outright bottom of the table, and you couldn't even have called it below expectations if they had lost them all. Getting them all out of the way early and doing so well with at least seven points more than I thought they'd get is some achievement. Top half finish on the cards for Moyes now

Biesla goes through too many good and bad patches to get anywhere near europe mate.

Cant go on the sort of runs you did in the Championship and expect to keep pace with the clubs above.
We have had to sell our best players even when Bielsa came in. He achieved a minor miracle getting us up. He likes a small squad, we've bought in decent quality to add to some good youngsters think the loss to Wolves might be a lesson learned, they dominated most of 2nd half .After the football we have had to put up with pre Bielsa Im happy we are at this level again.

Hope West Ham get done over.

Up until the point we miraculously find ourselves in a two horse race for the title against City then any points they drop only really benefits Liverpool.

Will be interesting to see the effects of the european games on this weekend though if the sky six drop points or start getting more injuries. Just a shame the kopites probably have the second easiest fixture possible.

I’m not arsed about who drops points for whom I just hate West Ham and their fans.

Something Defo not right here?! Apologies if in the wrong thread.

I could go to an indoor venue or a lounge at goodison to watch the footy (as long as I cannot physically see the pitch?!), but I am not allowed to sit practically outside in the stands at Goodison, or any other stadium, to look at the pitch and the match played on it?!

What am I missing here - surely the risk of covid transmission is greater by watching the match indoors with other people, even socially distanced, than it would be in the stands socially distanced?!

Couple of belting local derbies in the southern half of the FA Cup qualifying round;
Aldershot v Woking & Sutton U v Bromley. Both sadly behind closed doors so off to
Corinthian Casuals v Leatherhead in the Isthmian League, where thankfully, a restricted crowd is still allowed.
