I'd love to sign him if there is any chance at all. But I see there being a ton of interest. Could see him at somewhere like Arsenal or Spurs

Maybe they’d have more pull but doesn’t mean he’s too good for us. He’s not even as good as Gray, Gordon or Richy.

I haven't, its political correctness gone mad,they get the position simply because they are a women to keep the woke brigade contented.Most women don't follow football. you only have to watch any quiz show to see that,they hate any football question rounds,by their own admission.

Yes they turn up not knowing any rules and have only ever watched Strictly come dancing, but obviously they have to get the job due to political correctness. Them Americans shouldnt play soccer as they prefer American football. Shoulnt have English commentators on the NFL either as most English people dont like it but I suppose all American sports have to have a Brit on now for Equal opportunities and all that.

Why am I an idiot? There are far many women on mens football show,put the women's football on and all the presenters and pundits are women NOT men. Alright some of them might be right sexy bitches but they still shouldn't have so many fronting the mens game.

Some of them women have actually played the sport they are commentating on. We have so many men doing football shows who have never kicked a ball professionally, shouldnt they be binned too?

I think it’s no different to any other industry - the vast majority woman are in their respective positions or gain promotions on merit and are better than other male counterparts, others are there purely for ‘box ticking purposes’.

But you also get men in certain positions who you think ‘how on earth did he get that job’ or ‘he must know someone in power’

Personally I think a male voice sounds better on football commentary, just a personal preference, apparently you can’t say that though as you are deemed sexist in doing so.

I wouldnt say it is always sexist, but there will be some unconscious bias. A male voice is what you’ve known so will seem more comfortable and part of the usual soundtrack of a match.

There are certain women who I cant stand listening to, one in particular is woeful. Sue Smith isnt my favourite either. But then the male voices of Jenas, Owen, Hargreaves and a few others are just as bad.

As @RAFUH said, its probably because male commentators were always the norm. I dont care if its male or female, they have to be good commentators.

Also saying you have a personal preference for male commentators is fair enough, saying all women are rubbish and none got the job on merit is totally different

Personally, all I want is a commentator to talk about football with knowledge and understanding. Someone to talk about the game in a way the fans can relate to.

There's enough men who don't do that, so the criticism the women are getting is unjust.

There's a lady who I've heard co-commentating a few of our games and she's excellent and has more insight into the games than most. Honestly couldn’t care less if its man, woman or a goat presenting as long as they're decent at it.
