“Liverpool press relentlessly in midfield” - bbc sport

Yeah but do they have a tall bearded Portuguese fella who pirouettes on the ball and gets dizzy with so many drag backs that he gets nauseated and loses all sense of reality
One way to beat that would be just to lump it forward over the top for the strikers to chase ,so many teams just shoot themselves in the foot trying to play it out from the back when they clearly aren't good enough, especially against teams that press high up the pitch like City and RS. We are the perfect example, don't press the opposition but try to play out from the back when our players can't pass water.I want to see alehouse football back at Goodison, kick and rush with total commitment to it.

People are acting like the title race is over, but you can never count the RS out. Ever.
They are effectively only six behind City (game in hand at home Leeds) and I wouldn't put it past them winning at City as we know how much they always come up trumps when it really matters, then City would only have to lose 1 more for the RS to do them on goal difference.

Is anyone watching the Porto vs Sporting game?

Incredible. 2-0 down to 2-2. 1 red card in the game. Big brawl at full time and the referee has run around showing the red card to about 6 players including Pepe, Palhinha and Tabata who had only been on the pitch 1 minutes.

I heard the commentator say that before last night Pepe had not been sent off for over 10 years. Surely that can't be right?

Yep. So much football - plus cup competitions - means it’s a winding road to May.

Run ins don’t start in early Feb.
Our easier games are in Q3 and we’re losing them. Q4 has more tough games. That’s why we’re looking at run ins.

With our current performances, it could all be ove bar the shouting way before a normal run in.
