When Ancelotti was struggling we had no end of eulogising about Bielsa. Not even a season later and he’s in a relegation battle and probably getting fired. As I said at the time, no manager outside of the top 6 can succeed long term because eventually they’re only a few injuries away from a relegation battle.
To be fair, I still think what Bielsa has done won't be done by anyone in the same way anytime soon - he's recruited extremely well for not a lot of money, comparatively, and it's all players that fit his bizarre style of play he wants from them.
The thing is, when it works it's 100% the best thing you'll see. When it doesn't - it's trash. Similar to what happened with Ranieri after they won the Prem - a few injuries and it's bye bye.
Same thing happened with the RS in Klopp's first season, but he adjusted.
He probably won't get fired as this is his last season anyway, but the Leeds fans I know actually like and want him. They'll sell quite a lot of players anyway for a profit, so idk. Likely they'll stay up, the way this crap season has been going lol
Anyway, he's not won a lot as well, but that doesn't mean he's not a massive influence to a plethora of the greatest managers of the last 20-odd years, you know? Maybe there's a reason Pep, Poch and all the others talk so highly and praise him as an influence, like lol
Edit: I personally prefer Ratcelotti to Bielsa as a manager really. Just proven manager, no experiments, no ridiculous expectations and tinkering all the time, etc.
