I think we're certs to finish above Brentford and Watford.

We should finish above Norwich as well at least.

It’s what I’m clutching at mate, certainly all I’ve got to clutch at.

I watched Watford today and they were atrocious. Lampard needs to watch thag game back and show the players and play that way. They gave up as soon as palace went 2-1 up.

There’s winnable games for us… but as seen with a Watford winning 1-0 at Villa, anything can happen. We can’t rely on others.

You assume I want a level playing field, I dont.

I grew up watching Everton fight for titles with Liverpool, then United dominating, then a little ding dong between a few clubs, with todays battles between Liverpool and City.

Im ok with people being rewarded for being a well run football club.

This idea that everybody should be equal is for the fairies and things like the NFL with their little private club that nobody else can enter.
Again though clubs are not rewarded for being well run they're rewarded for having more money pumped in

They won't.

The Master Super Awesome league will happen.

Sponsors will find a way to pay the same players the same money in shady ways, the better/bigger teams will just leave to form the super league.
I guess what I'm saying is it doesn't have to go this way. It probably will because everyone at the top feels entitled to being there forever.

SALARY CAP.

Very simple.
You do know that Man City circumnavigated paying players image rights to keep them off their turnover so it looks like their wages are lower for a team that breaks positional transfer records every season, they paid them in accounts in the British Virgin island from those email leaks.

Salary cap will never work with the oil teams who will just use State owned banks in the ME to divert chunks of wages that will be airtight from prying eyes of UEFA and European Leagues.

It will never work with state owned teams in Football, that is why UEFA will not implement it.

I mean that stuff can be regulated if the regulators care to regulate it. They just don't care right now.

If the kicker story is to be believed then Bayern will soon be giving up competing for top honours being unable to pay top salaries to players. Even members of the top table are now struggling to keep up with the financial and chemical dopers of the premier league

@ForeverBlue92

Pep and Klopp would be daft leaving the PL anytime soon.

City
RS
Chelsea
Utd

PSG
Real Madrid

Outside of those clubs there just isnt any money about.

If UEFA had sense they would abolish FFP and allow outside investment from billionaires to buy into clubs.

If they continue trying to keep the big clubs big it'll only be the CL PL clubs that prosper.

Look how they’ve pounced on the carnage from covid as well.

‘Oh we need a super league because covid has decimated our revenue’

Then within the next few windows

100 mill on Grealish
50 mill Jota
50 mill Diaz
40 mill Konate
98 mill Lukaku
United with Sancho Varane Ronaldo in one window
PSG bring in Messi
Real Madrid now readying bids for Mbappe and Haaland

I really feel for them how difficult it’s been on them financially.

But what can you say, fans of other clubs actually want this because they’d rather see Messi Neymar Mbappe v Mane Salah Jota (or equivalent) on a Tuesday night a few times season after season than ever see their own club win anything.

Wasn't that the point of the Super league that all the clubs involved would be getting a bucket load of cash which would then enable them to compete with the likes of City for top players?
