Or you could look at it as he comes in realises the place is a cesspool of mediocrity and sets about trying to sort it. But players revolt cause they don't like to be upset and owners go nah must protect the ego of our little precious ones.
Can anybody seriously turn around and say he didn't call United absolutely spot on.
Same with Dele Alli, turned Kane into a beast of a player.
I always think.of him as somebody who demands 100% in a world where people only care about their insta and trying to be the big bollox and.give 90%.

I don't think Spurs were in a worse position than when he started. The whole point of a DoF is to minimise the pain of manager whose only concern is the next game.

I agree with you to a point about him but that doesn't mean it always has to be that way. Is a European trophy (their first) worth any future issues? Absolutely.

I saw this last night and was flabbergasted at the idea of awards given out for this, I mean it is all in the name of money and sponsorship. I can just about handle these stats, as if they mean something, being mentioned by people but awards for it is, as you say, is the game going to pot.

Awards season is going to get like a 'let us give everybody an award for something so they don't feel left out' school sports day.

Longest slide in goal celebration
Longest successful pass
Best running in between cones in the pre-match warm up
Ad infinitum
