It's a small club mentality, pure and simple. If we'd lost a final, we wouldn't be waving flags - it's how you expect a lower tier team turning up in a FA cup game.

When he was at Bournemouth, he was known for being attacking minded, with a defence that was questionable at best. At first, he seemed to buck this trend.

Now, Newcastle's defence appears to be reverting to type, and with the front line drying up they look far less threatening. They've hardly won since the WC.

I think eventually you'll be right that they'll see better options elsewhere and move him on.

He must have spent around £200-250 millions mustn't he?

Way its going in the league they'll finish 5th/6th which whilst still a good season isnt light years from us finishing 7th under Koeman and 8th twice under Silva/Alladyce when we were throwing the dough around.
