Today’s Football 2022/23 Season

The way the media are fawning over United is just sickening, especially Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport. I'll never forget it when I was watching The Goals Show on a Champions League night when they got an equalizer against CKSA Moscow. Ferdinand shouted "YES!" when the news came through. Shouldn't these commentators be neutrals on club matches?, it's really sickening and it's not MUTV, it's BT Sport. The other night against Barca..... they would never commentate like that if it was Man City for example.

When was the last time the media fawned over us?, I bet they didn't care about us in 1985. When we won the FA Cup in 1995, it was all about Man United the league's cash cow, having an empty trophy cabinet for the season, not us playing well and winning a trophy after such a cr@p start to the season under Walker and Royle tuning us around.

As for the RS, BT Sport until this season, were fawning over them like a rash.

You said it yourself, they're the cash cow. Liverpool too. The TV companies know it and they know that if they fawn all over them they will increase their audience and engagement.

I think they're just referring to the fact that he just won FIFA's The Best Goalkeeper award for the year, rather than saying he is literally the best goalkeeper in the World.

Weirdly for both the men and the women's Best XIs, the goalkeeper was different to the one that won the solo award. Not sure how that works but why try and apply sense to anything FIFA related
 
Potters rise to the top was very short lived.
A bit of a damp squib… a little like one of those piddly little rockets on bonfire night.

And to think some Evertonians were dropping their draws for this fella a short while back.

He’s a dud who probably looked a lot better than he was due to a very good set up at Brighton.
