"Top 4 and that's exactly their level" you've just said that like playing in a team that's the 4th best in the Premier League isn't up there as the highest level in world football. Most players aspire to be good enough to play in a top 4 team.

Some people need to re-evaluate what their definition of world class is.

How many younger fans who either aren't from Liverpool or don't support Liverpool that will know about an event that happened before they were born that has no relevance to them ? Although given the sensitive world we live in where everybody gets offended at everything perhaps even the ribbing of the points not being enough is indecent to the poor fans

I mean there’s a world where we get offended by everything and then there’s a world where we quite rightly condemn any one who’s mocking people’s death.

There’s a clear difference. There’s never been a bigger portion of try hard “look at me idiots” as right now, the same as the idiot Man City fan who decided it would be hilarious to bring a toy plane into the stadium.

It’s not down to points, what would be the point in the mockery? “Ha you never won the league, but since we last won the league, you’ve won the league and a European cup, plus every other trophy?”. It’s clearly a Smear towards the Hillsborough disaster.

The points thing would also be in praise of City who did win the league that season. So you’d have to believe a United fan dedicated his cup final shirt to celebrate their local rivals winning the league…from four years ago. Sounds legit.

What next, it was actually a dig at Liverpool’s failed title bid in 1997?
