I remember when Uefa introduced this competition, so many complaints (hell some still complain about Europa League).

But for both West Ham and Fiorentina fans it seems this meant a lot. Mourinho and Roma last year too, a lot of celebrations.
Football is better when the Super clubs aren't involved whether that's lesser Europe competitions or national teams.

Happy for the hammers fans there, and a wee bit happy for the turncoat dour davey.

Thought it quite odd that not many players seemed to go to him and celebrate from what I saw, he seemed to be on his own and a little isolated.

Sad thing is if he hadn’t been such a bottle merchant with us he could have won something, and I think those celebrations with his Everton team would have been something else.
Definitely, the team we had from 07-09 should have won something. Whether it was the carling cup, fa cup or uefa cup it should have won one of them in that time, we just never got the breaks when we needed.

That first leg in Florence effectively cost us the UEFA cup in 08 as we’d already beaten eventual winners Zenit in the group stage and we almost certainly would have beaten Rangers, especially with virtually home advantage at the Etihad

We won the ECWC and loved it. That was probably the easiest European trophy to win at the time. Fair play to The Hammers.

When the presenter asked Moyes was that his greatest moment as a manager, he paused for just a second and I imagined him just to go off on one and say "2nd, just after the Lee Carsley Derby" lol

Well done Moyes, great to see him celebrate with his old man who he put the medal on for some photographs as well.
