Looks like they're after Iraola who is most likely an upgrade on O'Neil. Ruthless but might be better in the long run for them. Their underlying numbers were quite poor I think.

They finished 3 points ahead of us, with a worse goal difference

It's not like he was pulling up trees there

If the new guy does better then they'll be justified in the long run

No mate it's a comment of someone who wants their club to compete and stay in the richest, toughest and most talented league in the world. You don't do that by having an MLS tier manager.

If you drag a club from the brink of doom like O'Neil did you get a shot at next season. Otherwise what incentive is it to take jobs on?

He's not an MLS manager, none of your managers could do it over here, Marsch was great in the MLS and look at him now.

He can get a plum job in The Championship and work his way back up the pyramid

If you're a PL team you should have one of the 40 or so best managers in the world. Is Gary O'Neil one of those? No so you go hire someone you think is.

This applies to Everton currently as well.

Imagine the outrage if Everton appointed Gary O'Neil.

We're in no position to change managers right now, Financially Bournemouth are.

After a season with the FFP case out the way + we stay up then I probably be more open to ditching Dyche. All depends on performances on the pitch.

I do think he's earned himself a transfer window to try and kick on from last season.
