I also read these yanks are mad on stats. If you read all that xg nonsense then looks like he was the luckiest manager in the league last season with the results he got.

I realise this over-qualifies me for our data analysis team. But, the underlying qualities of O'Neill are "intangibles" whereas everything he can be measured by has him relegating Bournemouth most seasons.

O'neil really was a lucky manager last season
He is decent, he will need all the Bournemouth squad to buy into his 'high risk high reward' style though, a style that is unsuited to us atm.

Not when our defence is probably one of the slowest in the pl ATM, with full backs who cannot attack + 1 decent striker in the whole squad. Midfield wise we look ok but a big rebuild is needed and 1 transfer window ain't gunna be enough.
