I am not at all worked up, I just find it very funny that you can't admit when you are wrong. It is not about whether you or I would like to treat Ireland as a home nation because Ireland is a different country and not part of the UK and therefore not a home nation. You can try all you want to deflect from your error but it won't go away. As I suggested earlier, you should just take it on the chin that you are wrong and move on
The correct name is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland fyi

The political situation changed 100 years ago...the term home nations changed with it. Rugby has had an accommodation made to allow the island to compete as a whole. It is really simple. Both parties are right, both parties are wrong.

But I’m not wrong, in footballing terms, as proven since the 1800’s, they’re considered a home nation along with the rest of the British isles.

“The term was originally used when the whole island of Ireland was part of the United Kingdom.”

If you don’t want to respect history and tradition that’s on you :)

I think you either need further education or professional help.

You didn't acknowledge the point I made in my post, why is that?
Because you are wrong in saying Ireland is a Home Nation and you are trying to deflect away from this.
There are many different wording to the proverb 'To get into an argument with a fool like that would only make one look like a fool as well' so I think I will avoid becoming a fool.

2 separate threads now you've devolved into arguments, what are you even here for?

Why are you capitalising home nation? I'm talking football, they're an original footballing home nation, so they still are to me, partition or no partition. The British Isles rivalry is still there.

Maybe the whole Chelsea stockpiling thing on top of this is just sending you over the edge? You're getting bummed both ends. :/
